MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY

It was an honor to recognize my friend, Bobby McDonald, President and CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, as we presented a proclamation declaring January 20, 2025, as Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We observed the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the Irvine City Council meeting and remembered his mission for justice, equality, and unity. We cherish Dr. King’s dream for a world where every person is not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. CARROLL PUSHES FOR ROBUST WILDFIRE PREPAREDNESS IN IRVINE

My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating and catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles County. I appreciate the proactive engagement and inquiries from our community regarding this issue. At the last City Council Meeting, I asked City Staff, the Fire Chief, and the Police Chief to present a thorough review of our efforts to prevent and respond effectively to fires in Irvine. For Public Safety, we must ensure we have the appropriate protocols in place, and that the public has the necessary resources and information to be prepared for any scenario. I will be providing more updates on Irvine’s plan for wildfire mitigation and response.
