GREAT PARK CHAIRMAN CARROLL DELIVERS THE STATE OF THE GREAT PARK

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the State of the Great Park! We shared exciting updates about the future and your vision, which has guided this incredible park. Over 2,000 residents gathered together to explore interactive exhibits, enjoy live performances, and hear exciting updates about upcoming cultural spaces, expanded museums, gardens, and innovative transportation solutions. Your enthusiasm and engagement continue to shape the future of the Great Park, ensuring it remains a vibrant hub for recreation. It was an honor to celebrate together as a community. MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES 

Join us on Memorial Day weekend to remember and honor our United States military service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice. The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony will be held Sunday, May 25 at 4:00 p.m. at Northwood Community Park. It will be a time of remembrance of the sacrifice and legacy that servicemembers left behind. A Memorial Day Ceremony will also be held Monday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m., at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, and will feature a tribute from Lieutenant Colonel Clark-Christopher Unger of Irvine’s adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion. IRVINE JUNIOR GAMES

The 36th annual Irvine Junior Games brought together young athletes from across Irvine for an exciting day of track and field competitions, celebrating talent, determination, and sportsmanship. A huge thank you to the Irvine Children’s Fund, Irvine Child Care Project, and the Irvine Unified School District for their continued dedication to providing affordable, high-quality child care and extracurricular opportunities for elementary students. NATIONAL POLICE WEEK

This National Police Week, we honor the brave men and women who serve and protect our community with unwavering dedication. Our Irvine Police Department officers go above and beyond to keep Irvine the Safest City in America. If you see an officer this week, take a moment to say thank you! UC IRVINE BASEBALL

University of California, Irvine Baseball celebrated City of Irvine Day at the Anteater Ballpark for their final regular season game. Residents gathered to watch the UC Irvine Anteaters take on their Orange County rival, Cal State Fullerton, with a fun evening that highlighted the strong partnership between the City and UC Irvine.
