COUNCILMEMBER CARROLL FEATURED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY BUSINESS JOURNAL
The Orange County Business Journal recently published “Irvine’s Next Chapter,” an article by Councilmember and Great Park Chairman Mike Carroll reflecting on how thoughtful planning, collaboration, and community values have shaped Irvine into the thriving city it is today.
Mike attributes Irvine’s success to its engaged residents, strong business community, and enduring partnerships that drive innovation. Irvine is home to more than 20,000 businesses, 300,000 jobs, and an unmatched commitment to safety and quality of life.
The Great Park Board is leading the development of the Great Park Framework Plan, which is transforming the former El Toro Marine Base into a world-class municipal park. Guided by community vision, the plan includes cultural venues, museums, performance spaces, gardens, and family-friendly destinations for all to enjoy.
Irvine has set the standard for excellence in planning and quality of life. It was through collaboration that the City was built, and that collaborative spirit continues to guide its progress.
"In Irvine, we lead by a combination of collaboration and compassion," he said. "We lift each other, and that collective spirit keeps Irvine a model for what is possible."
